A Poem for God

Some people like to distance You with words
like "Thee" and "Thou."

Some prefer to question You

with What? and Why? and How?

Still others feel more

comfortable with a list of rights and wrongs.

But I just want to climb up in Your lap,

Stroke Your face,

And sing You love songs.
